Thank you for calling us to Read it for ourselves. Thank you for calling us to love and not hate. Jesus is my Savior, friend, leader and helper, when I allow him to be. I am grateful every time I meet someone else who knows and seeks to follow him. Jesus never preached against any sin outright except Hypocracy. We are all guilty of it at times, I just hope more of us realize it more often and seek to humble ourselves and ask forgiveness. Blake, Once again you eloquently put it out there. I stand and applaud every word. I especially like the fact that you (sort of) quoted " Hate the sin, Love the sinner" because that was what came into my mind after praying for Steven Anderson after getting the original post containing the link to his hate filled tirade. Re Billy Graham my Vicar regularly asks us "if we are lucky enough to go to heaven how many people will come up to us and say "Thank You" I'm here because of something you said or did?" Personally I think Billy Graham has plenty of people waiting to thank him for their place there. Once again congratulations on another thought provoking blog. One final though God encourages us to love not hate and if we waste our time and energy hating this man then we give him space in our lives he doesn't deserve so we are the losers in the long run.
